{Mix and Match} Peplum Top

For spring, peplum tops are very "in".  I haven't decided if this is a trend that I'll be wearing, but I do like the overall feel of it.  And this top from Alloy is inexpensive so I won't feel as if I've wasted money if I didn't end up liking it.  But look at how versatile these tops can be!!

Item: Peplum top, $16.90, Alloy.com  {click here to buy}
Look 1: Easy.  This type of top makes it much chicer when you're out at the grocery store.  Throw it on with wide leg jeans, a cute patterned scarf and floral wedges.  Easy accessories complete the look.

Look 2: Funky.  Make this top a bit edgier with red skinny jeans, black riding boots and a chic blazer.  Fun, quirky accessories like this cat necklace and a chunky bracelet make it even cooler.

Look 3: Work.  This top can easily transition to work appropriate by pairing it with a simple pencil skirt.  Great heels and sleek- but bright- accessories make your outfit standout.

What do you think of this trend?  Will you be wearing peplum tops?

I love it actually, I love it more with skirts rather than trousers, it just shows off the skirt so well!! Funny it came into style again, as I was going to buy myself a top and then I saw them everywhere, I just liked the style! Hope you have a marvelous weekend :) xx

I am not a fan of the peplum, but you made it look tempting enough to try! I just can't do the skirts or dresses. ;)

I love peplum! It can be really flattering but I much prefer it as a skirt or dress...the top would make me feel a bit too much like its for a baby lol but you styled it really awesomely!! The middle look is my favorite : )

This looks are great, but I don't think I'll be doing peplum, tops, skirts or otherwise this year. It's just not something I'm drawn to.
