{Lookbook} Light Up My Life

First, a couple announcements:
1-  If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions for posts, or you just want to chat, please email me at comingunstitched@yahoo.com.  I love hearing from my readers about things they want to see, or things they think I could improve on!

2- Are any of you beautiful readers from Paris or Rome?  Or are very familiar with either of those areas?  We're attempting to get some ideas for our honeymoon in Europe next year and I'd love some advice from some of you that are reading from overseas!! If you are, please email me at comingunstitched@yahoo.com

Now, onto the post!!

Last night The Fiance and I went to downtown Pittsburgh for the 51st annual Light Up Night.  Since we're still relatively new to the area, this was our first time but we had heard amazing things.  EVERY light in the city is turned on and driving into the city is just spectacular.  Even the stadium lights are on and it's so cool to see.  We knew there would be Christmas lights & fireworks--- my two favorite things!!  I'm such a child when it comes to these things.  (I'm trying to figure out how to work them into my wedding!)  We also knew there'd be Santa, a parade, and a party on one of the many bridges.  100,000 people invade the city for this and it's every bit as amazing as we heard.

Since it's cold here in Pennsylvania, and we'd be walking around outside all night I knew I had to bundle up and be extra comfortable.  This is what I threw on.

I wore a gray sweatshirt tunic with a long sleeve white t-shirt underneath.  I wore skinny jeans and my new cognac colored riding boots.  This way I could be warm but still comfortable for walking around.  If you've noticed from my few outfit posts, I have a very simple, classic style.  I don't wear a lot of pattern or anything too crazy. I love layers and solid colors.

On the left is a picture with our other cat, Carlton (yes, he's massive, especially compared to Batman).  I figured if Batman got to be featured on the blog (here), so should Carlton.  (Carlton is The Fiance's cat.)  On the right, I HAD to show you how I looked once bundled up because I'm crazy about this coat I bought last year.  It isn't just a normal peacoat.  The little ruffle at the bottom is so cute.  What do you think of my look?

What I'm Wearing:
Gray tunic: Old Navy
Skinny jeans: Kohls
Boots: Charlotte Russe
Coat: Victoria's Secret
Beanie: Forever 21

How cool, going to Italy for your honeymoon! Well, I'm not an Italy expert, since I've only been there twice. The first time was amazing, we went to Lake Garda. BUT... It's extremely touristic. Last year we went to Veneto, the region where Venice is. Well, Venice is beautiful, but the region isn't. It's so very flat. And just a few miles further, at Lago di Garda, you'll find the most amazing landscape AND cities. You should really visit Verona with its beautiful theater, it's the city of Romeo and Julliet. We stayed on a campsite between Bardolino and Garda (the city). You could simply walk from town to town. Oh, and you should eat icecream in Bardolina. You'll get much and delicious ice for your money. And about Venice, DON'T sit on the San Marco square to have a drink or something. Just walk a little further and you'll find more affordable drinks ;)
My aunt and uncle always go to Umbrie, it should be a beautiful region.
I hope this was helpfull! Enjoy your honeymoon, dear!
