High & Low

We've all had that feeling as we flipped through a magazine and found something that we LOVE, only to see the price tag or the dreaded "price available upon request" (they should just put "not in your lifetime, pal" if you ask me).  But if you really do some searching, you can find similar items for MUCH cheaper.  Granted, the quality may not be as good but unless it's an investment piece and you plan on having it forever, there is no reason not to have a little fun!

Check out these options I found.  Look below the picture for the High and Low prices, and click on the picture to find where you can purchase each piece.  Each of the "low" pieces is $50 and under!  Where do you shop for your bargain pieces?  Would you like to see a feature once a week where I take (what I consider) an outrageously priced outfit and find you a similar style for MUCH cheaper?

I don't consider myself to be "high end" or "low end" but rather right smack in the middle.

My favorite places are Talbots, Nordstrom, Dillard's, Ann Taylor, J. Crew & Macy's. I mis Harold's immensely.

I like the sale & clearance racks but have only ventured into an Off 5th or an Nordstrom's Rack a couple of times. Never have really been a "shopper" so the "hunt" is not as important to me as the piece I am looking to add (or in many cases buying on a whim... hee hee) to my wardrobe.

I shop anywhere and everywhere looking for high quality bargains. I've found some great 100% wool pieces at Target, and recently have discovered stores to start blending lots and LOTS of different fibers into garments. Similarly to you, when I see price available upon request I assume it is in excess of $10,000

I love these kinds of posts! Yes, please do a high - low every week =) I personally think the cheaper sequined dress is much prettier than the expensive one.

I can't say I'm a high end or low end person but I love mixing. Though now a days I've been wanting to buy better pieces that will last longer.

I love that you picked both high end and lower end items that are similar.

Love your blog.

Dude buddy - this is a great post. I love this idea. I am one of the people who wants to weep when I see a piece I love and it is north of $1000. I agree with Manda- the less expensive sequined dress is prettier!
